Personality: Haru is a very quiet girl that prefers to keep to herself most of the time. She tries to see a situation from many perspectives and would rather hold back and assess a situation then go in guns blazing. She tends to get embarrassed when complimented as she has a low self esteem and thinks of herself as unable in many aspects. However, when assigned to do anything, she will do it the best she can and won't give up. She is very stubborn when she believes in something, no matter how stupid it may seem.

Crystal Release: is a rare and specialized field of elemental ninjutsu that can create crystal as well as manipulate already-existing crystals and crystalline structures. It is seen only in the anime, and its only known user is Guren. Additionally, due to Guren's crystal dragons being shattered by Kakashi's Lightning Cutter and Kiba having mistaken the actual element for an Earth Release technique, it is assumed earth is one of the elements needed to create crystals.

According to rumors that Tsunade had heard, Crystal Release can crystallize any substance, thus, earth, water, and wood techniques are useless against it. Using crystal ninjutsu, the user can crystallize any physical material and even the moisture in the air around them, turning them into a weapon. In the case of human targets, Crystal Release can solidify its targets down to the cellular level, imprisoning and even killing the victim should the crystal ever be struck, reducing the mass of crystal and the victim down to crystalline dust.

The only apparent weakness of the Crystal Release is that it cannot crystallize either raw energy or chakra as they have no physical mass to crystallize, allowing a person with either energy-based jutsu, such lightning, fire, wind, or good chakra control to properly counter it. Crystal Release is also susceptible to a specific sound wave frequency; because crystal requires a very precise build-up of molecules, the proper sound waves can break down the build-up before the crystal can properly form. Rinji, taking advantage of this weakness, used his bats to counter Guren's Crystal Release.

Background story:
Once upon a time, there was young baby girl who was born on a cold dreary day. Her parents raised her with the utmost love and affection until they were brutally murdered in front of her very eyes... Just kidding. There is no tale of woe for this girl. She takes life as it comes as she states "You will always meet another person with a story worse than your own." She was born and raised in Takigakure in a family of merchants that specialized more in assassination. She doesn't prefer this line of work and prefers just going along with the normal life of a ninja and just doing the missions she's assigned. Her older sister is the star of the family and is a renowned assassin whom Haru is very close to. Her sister respects Haru's opinion on the family's line of work and helps to defend Haru when her father gets mad about Haru's refusal to specialize in assassination.

But Haru mostly had an average childhood with no mentally scaring events that would lead to her being revengeful. She started into the ninja academy mostly to get some approval from her father so that he wouldn't disown her forever. She shows promise in her crystal release but isn't a prodigy. She would rather not be a prodigy as she feels it would be bothersome. She finally graduated the academy after purposely failing the exam once. This started her actual time as a ninja. Though one of her other teammates constantly complained of the smaller missions, she just did them, figuring she has plenty of time to do other things and will someday do bigger things.

So Haru continues on with her training as well as doing the easy small tasks arranged for Genin. And around the chuunin exams come. She was indifferent to taking it or not but her other teammates were pushing to take the test. Since it had to be in teams, she joined them. The team made it through the first tests and then came the final battles. She battled with the other Genin and was promoted though she simply shrugged off the congratulations, preferring to just keep up with her responsibilities.

Name: Crystal Armor
Type: Crystal Release, Kekkei genkai, supplementary
Description: This technique allows Guren to cover her skin with a thin sheet of crystal, protecting herself from blunt attacks. This armor can also aid Guren to perform stronger physical attacks. The crystal is transparent and can only be noticed by light reflecting off it.

Name: Crystallization
Type: Crystal Release, kekkei genkai, supplementary
Description: This technique allows the user to crystallize any form of matter though the matter will not actually become animated and can only be manipulated to use as a weapon and not as an actual creature. This is mostly used to crystallize matter used for attacks against the user. The range of crystallization is only 2 meters and cannot crystallize anything out of this range.

Description: Guren can create a dome of crystal to surround a target. It is highly durable from both external and internal attacks.

Name: Crystal Release: Crystal Encampment Wall
Type: Crystal, kekkei genkai, defensive
Description: Guren sends out a wave of chakra which then turns into an almost impenetrable crystal wall which also mends itself. This crystal most likely has a similar endurance to the one created by the Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Labyrinth Technique.

Name: Crystal Imprisonment Wave
Type: Crystal, kekkei genkai, offensive
Description: A larger scale version of Crystal Release: Crystal Pentagonal Prison, Guren could encase a swarm of opponents in crystal, as shown when trapping Shino Aburame's kikaichū. Unlike other crystal prisons used by Guren, where the crystal emerged from the ground, this crystal forms in the air.

Description: Guren creates long, sharp, and pointed purple and black crystals that shoot at the target at extremely high speeds with pinpoint accuracy.

Description: With this technique, Guren creates a disk-shaped wheel made of crystal around her, allowing her to keep above water and race towards the enemy at high speed.

Name: Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Labyrinth Technique
Type: crystal, kekkei genkai, supplementary
Description: First Guren creates a large number of crystal flowers. Then she can grow these flowers into a gigantic labyrinth consisting of red crystals. Enemies trapped inside it will mostly be lost because of the fact that the red crystals reflect their personal image as well as generates mirror images of the routes, paths, and details within the labyrinth, confusing and intimidating them. It is even capable of confusing the Byakugan.
Because of the crystal's stable molecular structure, a simple attack focused at one point is rendered useless, and its wide surface will disperse the force of wide range attacks, reducing their effectiveness. To overcome this technique, an attack that has impact force both wide and powerful is required to smash through it.

Name: Jade Crystal Clone Technique

Description: After she performs the Crystal Release: Jade Crystal Mirror jutsu, Guren can make multiple clones of herself emerge from the mirror. These clones are made of crystal, as after Hinata Hyūga defeated one, it crumbled into many crystals. Clones made by this jutsu are also able to deceive Byakugan users, as shown in the (short) fight Hinata had with one of Guren's clones. Hinata could see the Chakra Pathway System of the clone, unlike in the situation with a normal clone generated by the Clone Technique.

Name: Jade Crystal Prison Technique

Description: This technique, which seems to be a minor version of the Crystal Release: Crystal Pentagonal Prison, allows Guren to completely encase a single target in crystal. If the crystal is shattered, the victim disintegrates along with the crystal particles. However Hinata was able to surround her body with chakra before she was completely encased, thereby avoiding the disintegration effect.

Name: Crystal Release: Tearing Crystal Falling Dragon
Type: crystal, kekkei genkai, offensive
Description: The user crystallizes a material in the area, and then turns it into a dragon. It can be used as a means to travel or to attack a target. Several dragons can also be made and manipulated at once. This technique can also be used to crystalize anything nearby into what she needs creating a crystal figure that she can manipulate.

Description: This technique creates several crystal shuriken and launches them at the opponent. The shuriken are six-sided with spikes at the sides of each blade, resembling snowflakes.

Name: Body Flicker Technique
Type: Supplementary
Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and their intended destination.
