Kasumi's story

Kasumi did a really stupid thing after barely getting healed from her fight in Amegakure, she got into another fight not long after with another ninja. After having sealed her sword in Yukigakure, Kasumi then spent some time recuperating. After that, she went traveling off again, having disposed of her Akatsuki cloak, opting rather for just a snowy white cloak over the clothes she usually wore as she wanders around.

However, the next ninja she happened to come across was an ANBU Jonin from Kumogakure. She, being stupid, decided that she could take him on. The battle lasted a while and destruction in the forest outside of Kumogakure was devastating. A whole part of the forest had become just a frozen wasteland and many chunks were missing were the other ninja’s lightening release had utterly destroyed parts. However, the Kumogakure ninja had been much too strong for Kasumi and the battle left her unable to use chakra ever again, and hardly able to even move, just barely escaping with her life.

A very weary Kasumi then realized that her days of a ninja were over. She spent much time recuperating at least somewhat from the battle before finding a place to settle. After months of wandering all over the lands, she decided to settle in Yukigakure. She took up residence in a hut near the edge of the village and started painting. The villagers, uneasy about an ex-rouge ninja living in their village, sent ninja after her. But after showing that she was mostly harmless except when given a knife, she became known as the crazy lady in Yukigakure.

She got this label due to her strange behavior. Villagers believed this due to how she talked cryptically when she ever talked at all, sat for hours just painting, and hardly ever went out. If she did, she usually would be gone for days or even weeks, her location unknown unless she just was doing things about the village. Often she came back with strange items that villagers became wary of. Because of this, her hut became rumored to be cursed or bewitched.

Her paintings, however, became widely known and were sought after. Though when someone would ask about a painting, she would always give them the same answer, “there’s always a price,” and if they asked what the price was, she usually would only stare blankly at them. Very rarely did someone ever get one of her paintings, though the ones that got them seemed shaken when first coming out of her hut and then would never tell how they got her painting.

So there she continued to live in Yukigakure, spending her time painting, her door usually always open to anyone, but only those that dare to will enter in.

(I will probably still post with Kasumi if someone is bored and wants to stop by her little hut... But as you probably inferred from the story, Kasumi is now a basically harmless Yukigakure villager. That she will remain.)
