Nationality: ex-Kirigakure (you could say I guess... not really though... She's not really from a village...)
Personality: Quiet, calm, and sly. Has an underlying hate for others and tends to hide her emotions. Doesn't like to take huge chances usually. Has a tendency to call everyone "kid" besides those she respects, thus sometimes getting into fights and lots of trouble.

Appearance: She is kind of slender and a little shorter than average height. She keeps her Akatsuki hood pulled up, shadowing her face.

Background story: (this is my background, plus three year story for my character, I put it into one post if that's all good...)

Kasumi happens to be Amaya's sister that she never knew she had. Kasumi was found wandering about the crossroads by a wandering ex-Kirigakure ninja. He took her in, raising her like his own child. She one day ran up to him all excited. She showed him her abilities that she had discovered that she could control water and freeze it. He realized that she must have been from a clan of kekkei genkai and the parents abandoned her because of the fear of kekkei genkai. He decided then to train her in the ninja arts. He trained with her, improving on her ninja skills and teaching her new techniques.

Kasumi continued to grow, and train with her "father" daily. By the time she was 12, her skills were very sharp. However her "father" was still killed right in front of her eyes. She had gone into the woods to collect wood for the fire. When she returned, she saw a stranger stab her "father" from behind. She was only just looking when she saw her father die, not there in time to call out and alert her "father". The stranger turned and looked towards her, smiled evilly, and then disappeared. She saw the flash of a headband, a Kirigakure one. She dropped the wood she was carrying and rushed to her dead "father's" side. She began crying a then swore vengence.

From that day on, Kasumi continued to live on her own using the skills she had been taught. She became even more skilled. But one day she found a secret compartment in the house. She found many scrolls in the compartment and a pair of short swords. Having trained with a katana, she was intrigued. She took the contents of the compartment and began to read the scrolls. The swords, she learned through one of the scrolls, were called the Soaring Short Swords. She learned of their unique powers with wind. Having trained for years, she could easily use both suiton and fuuton as elements along with her ice kekkei genkai. The swords were better than the single katana that she had. The other scrolls had stronger techniques than anything else she learned. She continued to live on her own, using her skills to keep safe and mastered these higher level techniques.

But she was still bothered by her "father's" death. She needed to leave at some point. She finally decided to head out on her own, traveling to one day find and kill the person who took away her most special person. She continued traveling, visiting villages and she learned of Akatsuki. Perfect... she thought to herself. She followed rumors and information until she reached Amegakure, the place she heard was Akatsuki's main place of operations. It wasn't long until she was a part of the Akatsuki organization, working with them, going after jinchuriki and anyone who got in her way, while never giving up on finding her "father's" killer. She had big plans for that certain person...
