Phantom Hill

A hill where a rumored fire licks the entire village taking the lives of everyone there. Skeleton remains and charred remainders of the village can still be seen protruding out of the blackened soil.

Kakuzu arrives at the foot of the hill in time to see skeletal hands rising up from the ground and digging its way through. Kakuzu walks dashes up the hill as more skeletal hands bursts out of the ground as the music starts to pick its pace up.

Chouko realizes that the music is coming from phantom hill. "Ooohhhh... the creepers hill..." The butterfly continues flying towards the hill. "You know it's called Phantom Hill." "Yea, yea but I call it creepers hill.... Oh! I see that one dude that was at the office, this must be the way to go! And there's a lot of... hands... weird... The butterfly is now flying above the hill circling as Chouko continues to watch.

What seems to be half rotten hands bursts out from the ground as it grabs onto the butterfly's legs and starts dragging it down. In the distance, Kakuzu can be seen fending himself off from what seems to be a sea of skeletons rolling towards them.

The rotten hand begins to pull them. "We're going down and you're going to have to take care of this..." Chouko cuts her off. Jutsu time!" She seems to be excited about the turn of events. The butterfly lands and then there's skeletons coming towards them. Chouko completes hand seals and the begins spewing water out at the skeletons, the huge rush of water washing them back. She jumps off the butterfly. I'm leaving.... And the butterfly disappears. Chouko begins running again, attempting to catch up with Kakuzu and get further up the hill.

more hands bursts out from the ground and starts grabbing Chouko's legs. The skeletons that was washed away starts to form back together and crawls towards Chouko. In the distance, Kakuzu can be seen running up further hill after burning a path for himself only to have it covered back by a sea of skeletons that is now rolling down towards Chouko.

Chouko takes one katana out and slash at the hands and then quickly completes a few hand seals. A vortex of water forms around her, creating a wall of spinning water around her. She keeps running as the vortex moves with her, creating a path for her, knocking any skeletons away that come in contact with the vortex. She could easily see through the vortex due to it just being water and thus transparent.

the skeletal hands crawls up Chouko's legs from underground and in the distance the sea of skeletons is now approaching Chouko and starts to drown the ground out. Kakuzu is now running to the peak of the hill as he disappears from view.

She slashes the hands off of her and then looks up towards her destination. She suddenly seems to disappear and appears a ways away, does hand seals, and then sends another wave of water out to clear a path as she seems to disappear again, appearing once more closer to the top of the hill. If any skeletons latch on, she slashes them off with her katana. She keeps doing this, making progress up the hill.

This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and their intended destination.

In the distance, a small, burned down inn can be seen as Kakuzu can be seen entering it. Behind Chouko, the skeletons' eye sockets starts to glow red and starts to collapse as the music that was playing earlier dies down.

Chouko continues skipping along as she nears the phantom hill once more. She looks up at the darkening skies. 'Ah lovely, just the right weather,' she thinks. She keeps skipping, starting to head up the hill.

Chouko keeps running along from the village and soon reaches the base of phantom hill as she begins running up the hill. 'No organ music last time, no skeletars... I'm betting... organ music... skeletars...' She smiles as she continues running, preparing for the skeletons to start to emerge.

As Chouko is running up the hill, the sound of the organ music starts to get deeper and faster as the entire ground beneath her starts to shake, hands bursting up and starts latching onto Chouko's legs, this time, dragging her feet into the ground. Clouds starts to roll in the skies as lightning flashes. Thunder echoes through the hill as far from Chouko, sea of skeletons starts rising from the ground with eye sockets glowing red.

With the hands trying to pull her down, her body suddenly changes into just a pile of dirt. She uses a bit of her strategy from last time she faced the skeletons to wash away a section of them as she continues to make her way up the hill.

This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique.

As Chouko was running, in the distance, the sea of skeletons stops as skulls comes to the front of the sea, opening their jaws revealing razor sharp teeths. Beneath Chouko, the ground shakes as Chouko finds herself sinking in what appears to be quicksand. The sea of razor sharp teeth starts rolls towards Chouko as everything that comes near are instantly grated away.

Chouko smiles as she starts sinking. She uses the replacement jutsu again as she appears away from the area of sinking sand. Her katana now drawn, she slices at the skeletons, trying to continue up the hill. She seems to disappear again as skeletons are cut down in a path with Chouko reappearing a ways more up the hill.

As Chouko continues running, more hands rises up from the ground as the entire ground beneath her shifts causing her to slide back down making her lose her footing and towards the skeletal teeth graters that is now inching towards her. The organ music gets louder as lightning flashes in the dark skies accompanied by the sound of roaring thunder.

Chouko completes several hand seals as she slides. A vortex of water forms around her, washing back any skeletons, including the teeth grater ones. She quickly scrambles to regain her footing as she slices at any skeletons around with her katana. The vortex breaks off into smaller ones, heading off into different directions, one of them heading up the hill while clearing a path. Chouko follows the vortex with the body flicker technique, slashing skeletons when needed.

As Chouko is running up the hill, the organ music that was playing earlier, slowly died down and eventually, disappeared as the skeletons that was on her tail crumbles. The sky lights up as sunlight hits the hill, for the first time, revealing a vast breathtaking view of. The peak is now within Chouko's view.

Chouko continues running up the hill as the music dies down. She picks up speed until she sees the view. She then looks around as she keeps running. "Ooooo.... pretty, pretty." She whispers to herself as she finishes running to the peak of the hill.

Chouko reaches the base of the hill as she pauses and let's go of Haru's hand. "Oh the fun we're going to have..." she mumbles loud enough for Haru to hear as she looks up towards the top of the hill where the Black Hand Inn lies. "Oh the times..." she mumbles incomprehensibly. She then starts running up the hill. "Skeletons... Goblins... Ghouls... Man-eating Unicorns? Let's see the surprises this time..."

The ground beneath Chouko and Haru shook as it began to split itself open, with what appeared to be huge skeletal fingers emerging from the fissure. Slowly, the skeletal creature surfaced, taking the shape of a huge skeletal lion crawling out of it. Behind, more skeletal figure crawled out of the fissure, taking the forms of huge humanoid creatures, brandishing glowing red eye sockets. The creatures marched towards Chouko and Haru as the sky above them turned completely black, only lighted up by the glowing red eyes of the creatures.

"Ah... Skeletars! In new shapes and sizes!" Chouko says as she takes out the pair of Kukri knives that Kuro had given her. She cleanly slices through the skeletal lion in several places, leaving it demolished. She starts skipping up the hill as she slices through skeletal figures that are arising all around.

occ: Merry Christmas peeps! Well it's Christmas morning for me anyways... I know it's Christmas night for Kuro, Hollis is an hour ahead of me, and JoJo... erm... I think it's about the same as Kuro just a few hours behind (if I remember correctly...). Sheesh.... Now I sound like some stalker that knows everyone's time zones... ._.;

Chouko suddenly stops before appearing in front of Haru. She pats the tops of Haru's head while saying "Go to the top of the hill... That's the source of the organ music... but beware... nothing is as it seems..." Chouko then seems to dissolve into butterflies as a harsh, cold wind blows past Haru as the butterflies flit away as light laughter echoes all around even heard above the sound of the organ music playing.

occ: Haru, get your jutsu up tonight and then I will probably still be on, or be on later to approve of it. If you get on tonight that is... but I'm sure JoJo or Hollis will approve of them if you get them up later. Have fun. Kuro doesn't bite... too hard. lol. Nah, Kuro's cool. There's much more to him than his harsh character. And Kuro... damn I'll miss you. Peace, laughs, and salmon. Oh... and watch out for flying Vlinder... Ba ha ha ha ha ha ha... good times... good times...

The skeletons that were slashed started to rebuild itself, gathering all the skeleton pieces together as a huge shadow loomed the horizon with the shape of what appeared to be a huge lion. The clouds roll in the sky forming a mini typhoon in the sky as flashes of lightning lit up the sky, thunder clashing and the winds howled. Amidst the darkness, the sound of a massive roar can be heard as the ground shook, followed by another massive roar. Followed by this, the ground shook for the second time as the sky rolled, allowing a beam of light to shine down on the darkness, revealing a massive skeletal lion with three heads. The creature snarled as Chouko patted Haru's head and disappeared into a wave of butterflies.
